Custom Software Development
Web platforms, mobile apps, APIs, and the systems behind them, designed from the ground up and tailored exactly to what you're trying to accomplish. From first conversation to a tested, deployable product.
AI-Driven Software & Device Development
NextFront turns ambitious ideas into working software, intelligent systems, and physical devices, with artificial intelligence at the core of how we design and build. For businesses and government, we engineer the things that have never been built before.
Who we are
Most teams are built to repeat what already works. NextFront is built for the opposite: the projects where there is no template, no off-the-shelf product, and no obvious path.
We thrive in that space, combining senior software, hardware, and AI talent to move an idea from concept to a working, deployable reality. Whether you're a business chasing a competitive edge or a government team solving a mission-critical problem, we bring the engineering depth and modern AI tooling to make it real, quickly and responsibly, and built to last.
What we build
Web platforms, mobile apps, APIs, and the systems behind them, designed from the ground up and tailored exactly to what you're trying to accomplish. From first conversation to a tested, deployable product.
LLM integration, intelligent automation, computer vision, and custom models that do real work, not demos. AI that's accurate, reliable, and built responsibly into the systems you depend on.
When the solution needs to exist in the physical world, we build that too: embedded systems, connected (IoT) devices, and first-of-their-kind hardware, from prototype through to production.
Some of the best ideas have never been tried. We prove them out, fast. Rapid prototyping and applied research that turn "is this even possible?" into a working proof of concept you can test and build on.
Why NextFront
The more unproven the idea, the more at home our engineers feel. We're built for problems without a playbook.
You shouldn't wait months to see if an idea works. We deliver working proofs of concept in days or weeks, not quarters.
AI is designed into our architecture from the start, not bolted on at the end, so it actually delivers value.
Backed by veterans across software, hardware, and machine learning, with decades of combined experience.
“Our mission is to build what hasn't been built. Every project starts with an idea no one has executed yet, and our job is to turn it into real, working technology, customized to the exact needs of each client we serve.” Walter Constantine
Insights
Putting a language model into a system people rely on is a problem of accuracy, cost, latency, and graceful failure. We design LLM features the way we design any critical system.

Walter Constantine founded NextFront to pursue commercial software and technology ventures, drawing on more than 25 years of experience in software engineering, technology strategy, and executive leadership. His background includes founding and serving as president of CoSolutions, a federal small business IT contractor serving government clients. He holds a BS in computer science from the University of New Brunswick and an MS in computer science from The Johns Hopkins University.
Ingrid Constantine brings more than 25 years of experience in business development, marketing, strategic partnerships, and executive leadership. She connects firsthand business experience and customer needs with practical opportunities for technology innovation. Her background includes serving as CEO of CoSolutions, a federal small business IT contractor serving government clients. She holds a business management degree from the University of Maryland.
Matt Schipani has spent nearly three decades designing software and hardware for problems no existing product solved. He has built engineering, analysis, and business systems for many industries including manufacturing, wireless, infrastructure, defense, and government. His current focus is applied AI, both as a way to build faster and as a working part of the tools he builds. He holds a BS in Management Information Systems from Southern New Hampshire University.
